April 9

New Vista has announced its 2016 schedule of Wine Walks, being held at Town Square. The Wine Walks will begin at 7 p.m., and will conclude at 10 p.m. Tickets are $30 at the door and include a wine glass and up to 20 different wines for sampling. All proceeds benefit New Vista, a local charity that provides programs to adults and children with intellectual challenges. April 9

The 6th Annual Motley Brews Great Vegas Festival of Beer will be held across several blocks of Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. More than 400 beers from over 100 breweries will be served, including several from Nevada. Local chefs’ beer-inspired fare will be available for purchase from vendors such as Truck U Barbeque, Cousins Maine Lobster, Pot Liquor, Glutton, Sausagefest, Stripchezze and more. Tickets include unlimited sampling and are priced at $40 for general admission if purchased online before April 9. Day-of tickets will cost $45. Tickets for early entry at 2 p.m. cost $50 before April 9 or $55 at the door.

April 14-16

The 42nd annual UNLVino, an event that raises money for UNLV college scholarships, will consist of three main events taking place from April 14-16. The first event, Bubble-Licious, will be a celebration of Champagne and sparkling wine with small plates from The Venetian and Palazzo’s collection of restaurants. It will take place at The Venetian’s Doge’s Palace Plaza on April 14 from 7-10 p.m. Tickets are $100 in advance or $125 at the door. Sake Fever, an event featuring myriad sakes, Japanese spirits and cocktails, plus cuisine from some of the city’s top restaurants, will be held at the outdoor pool of Red Rock Casino Resort Spa on April 15 from 7-10 p.m. Tickets are $75 in advance or $100 at the door. Finally, The Grand Tasting will highlight a collection of premium beverages alongside cuisine from UNLV’s culinary students and celebrated Vegas restaurants. The Grand Tasting will take place in the ballroom at Paris Las Vegas on April 16 from 7-10 p.m. Tickets are $100 in advance or $125 at the door.

April 15

Emeril’s New Orleans Fish House at MGM Grand will host a five-course beer dinner prepared by chef de cuisine Heath Cicerelli and featuring Firestone Walker beers. Courses are spicy Korean pepper shrimp, paired with Pivo Hoppy Pills; huckleberry barbecued rainbow trout, matched with Pale 31 California Pale Ale; Maine sea scallop and braised pork belly, paired with Opal Dry Hopped Saison; beer-braised steamship beef short ribs with foie gras-sauteed chanterelle mushrooms, matched with Velvet Merlin Oatmeal Stout; and maple syrup chocolate pecan cake with bourbon-glazed apples and nutmeg whipped cream, paired with Limited Release Firestone XIX Anniversary Ale. April 20

Following a successful run in 2015, Giada at The Cromwell will continue to host monthly wine dinners. The restaurant’s 2016 series will kick off on March 23 with a dinner that includes pairings from Silver Oak Winery. On April 20, dishes will be paired with varietals from Joseph Phelps Vineyards, and Joseph Phelps’ president Bill Phelps will host. Wine series dinners include multiple courses of Giada De Laurentiis’ favorite eats, such as lemon spaghetti and selections of antipasti. Guests will take home a picture signed by De Laurentiis and some of her beloved recipes. The dinners take place from 6 to 9 p.m. and cost $200 per person. Border Grill at Mandalay Bay has launched the new Border Grill Patio Series, a monthly event held on the restaurant’s patio during the warmer spring and summer months. Designed by executive chef Jamaal Taherzadeh, each event will center around a different theme. The March 21 Spring Break Clam Bake features an array of seafood and a massive bonfire. Future events are the Farm Fresh event on April 22, a showcase of dishes using locally grown produce and ingredients; Tour of Tequilas on May 19, featuring a wide array of tequilas paired with signature menu items; and Amor À La Carte on June 17, a multi-course, progressive dinner and matchmaking event where singles are paired up with a different person for each course. Third Thursday of Each Month

MADE LV in Tivoli Village in Summerlin is hosting the monthly W.I.N.O.S. (Women in Need of Sanity) event in conjunction with Mercedes of the Mercedes in the Morningradio program on MIX 94.1. Held every third Thursday of each month from 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m., ladies (men are welcome, too) are treated to live music, fashion advice, giveaways, raffles, food and drink specials and a photo booth by Studio K. Second Tuesdays

Grape Street Cafe is offering wine tastings the second Tuesday of every month from 6 p.m.–8 p.m. Tastings include a variety of four wines for $5 per person, but if any featured wines are purchased, the $5 tasting fee is applied to the purchase price of the bottle.
